Parties can be hosted at-home or online and (regardless of the forum) hostesses earn the same perks:
- 1 free piece for hosting
- 1 free piece for every 10 pieces sold
- 1 free piece for every one of your guests who books a party within 48 hours of your event
Online Parties
When you host a party online, I set up a Facebook event for a select number of nights (usually 2 but it's up to you.)
All you need to do is invite your friends to the event. Obviously, it's to your benefit to encourage people to come so you can earn as much free jewelry as possible.
The night of the party, I'll post pictures of several items I have in stock. The first of your guests to comment "sold" has dibs.
The day after the party, I'll send out invoices for your guests to pay via PayPal. If they plan to attend upcoming parties and want to wait for me to ship their items, I'm happy to hold off for a reasonable amount of time so they only have to pay shipping once.
At-Home Parties
When you host a party at-home, you invite friends over for an open house. Unlike a lot of direct sales parties, there's no speeches or hard sales - I just set up a table displaying a bunch of awesome jewelry and accessories for $5 each (+ tax).
Since you earn free jewelry for the more items sold and parties booked, you might choose to provide refreshments to encourage people to linger longer.
Your guests can buy using cash or credit/debit cards.
